Teacher Julie, 4th Grade Homeroom, faced textbook shortages. Two hundred tablets were available (from the Ministry of Education). A project was initiated to set up the tablets as textbooks for 4th graders.
The tablets are Acer Aspire ___, running a very limited version of Android. This device was unable to support classroom instruction given the limited technological capability available at MSS Additionally, the tablets' TFT screen response times was rejected by other students which indicated that younger 4th students would have trouble with the device.
The project was abandoned because it was not feasible with the devices available to MSS.
